Trial on 'German Fritzl' in Koblenz

Defendant Detlef S. arrives for his trial in Koblenz, Germany, 23 February 2011. The 48-year-old defendant denied allegations by three of his own children that he used them sexually abused them for over 15-year period, with his stepdaughter giving birth to eight children by him. Prosecutors said the stepdaughter, now 28, bore eight children by him. The case has echoes of the Austrian Josef Fritzl, now serving life for keeping his daughter locked in a cellar and fathering a series of children by her.
