Somaliland - Prosthetics - Disability Action Network

Disability Action Network (DAN) is based in Hargeisa in Somaliland and a charity working with disabled children and young people helping them to access health care and provide them with therapeutic rehabilitation. DAN supply and fit orthopaedic appliaces and physiotherapy when needed. Somaliland is a very poor country and to many not living in the capital Hargeisa health care is very difficult to come by. DAN received the STARS Foundation Health Award in 2008 for outstanding work.
