Sarkozy apologises to disabled torchbearer Jin Jing

Christian Poncelet, the President of the French Senate visited Chinese disabled torchbearer Jin Jing, who was attacked by a Tibet separatist during the Beijing Olympic torch relay in Paris early this month. Poncelet visited Jin Jing at Shanghai Disabled Peoples Sport Training Center after he arrived in Shanghai, April 20, 2008. He handed Jin Jing a letter written by French President Sarkozy to express his sympathy to the 27-year-old wheelchair-bound fencer who was attacked by the Tibet separatist during her leg in the torch relay in Paris on April 7.
