Barneys New York on Madison Avenue is seen on June 23, 2007. The Jones Apparel Group, the owner of Barneys, has sold the stores to an affiliate of the Dubai-based investment firm Istithmar for a reported $825 million. Jones reported it will use the proceeds of the sale to invest in their other brands including Nine West and Anne Klein. ( Richard B.
