My Wife's Fight with Breast Cancer

After over a 2 week stay in the hospital, Jen takes a walk in her neighborhood in New york City. Jen came home with no hair and a walker. Once a day we would go for a walk. I saw the looks from people as we passed and I could feel how it was affecting Jen. Jennifer Wise Merendino was diagnosed with stage 3B breast cancer in February of 2008, just 5 months after her and Angelo's wedding. After a double mastectomy, four months of chemotherapy, five weeks of daily radiation and reconstructive surgery, Jennifer was free of cancer. Then two years after Jen’s initial diagnosis, the breast cancer had metastasized to her liver and hip. Angelo began to document the couple’s daily life, in order to show the challenges faced when living with the battle of cancer. Ultimately the cancer made its way to Jen’s brain.
