Dec. 30, 2011 - Ham Lake, MN, U.S. - Dan Johnson, 32, hit one of the most dramatic home runs in regular season baseball history on Sept. 28, a game-tying shot against the Yankees with the Tampa Bay Rays down to the season’s final out. Johnson, who was born in Coon Rapids and graduated from Blaine High School in 1997, was batting .108 at the time of his home run, and he didn’t have long to savor it. The Rays didn’t even put him on their playoff roster, and they cut him in November. Johnson and his wife, Holly, just had their third baby.
