Jay-Z officially names Brooklyn Nets

September 26, 2011, Brooklyn, New York, USA: Rapper Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter announces the renaming of the NBA franchise the New Jersey Nets to the Brooklyn Nets. Carter also announced that he will be the first performer to play the Barclays Center of Brooklyn when the venue opens in September 2012.
