The Hindu community in the city along with other religious minorities celebrated the Holi festival at shakhari bazar and tantibazar of old dhaka .Celebrations of the festival included splashing colours at each other, dances beset with dazzling lights and drumbeats, and with puza. The celebrations were followed by the distribution of prasad. This year the festivals were not colorful like others. This year the economic condition and the political condition like BDR mutiny get the programm short and without vast of expenses Ripon a inhabitant of shankhari bazar said.
