Fulton transit station construction

February 10, 2012, New York, New York, USA: February 10, 2012, New york, New York, United States: After its destruction in the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center, the $1.4 billion Fulton Street Transit Center project is under construction by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). The plan includes station rehabilitations, new underground passageways, and an above-ground station entrance building at the intersection of Fulton Street and Broadway. The project will connect 11 MTA subway services stopping at Manhattan's Fulton Street, the PATH service and the World Trade Center station in Lower Manhattan. Construction began in 2005 and completion is scheduled for 2014. The shining four-story structure is topped with a gigantic oculus that floods the interior with daylight, reducing the amount of energy consumed by artificial lighting. ( automatický překlad do češtiny  ) ( zobrazit originální popisek v angličtině )
