Elliott Seabrooke

Elliott SEABROOKE 18861950 Landscape and still-life painter. Born 31 May 1886 at Upton Park, Essex. Studied at the Slade School 190611 and was influenced by the work of C麡nne. Worked in Epping Forest and the Lake District; later travelled frequently to Holland, France and Italy. Served in the British Red Cross 191418 and as an Official War Artist on the Italian Front. First one-man exhibition at the Carfax Gallery 1912. In later years adopted a pointilliste technique derived from Seurat. Exhibited at the N.E.A.C. 190920, and at the London Group from 1919 (member 1920, President 19438, Vice-President 194950). Died in Nice 6 March 1950.
