The Carlico storehouse stores over 2 million bottles of imported wine, with 80% from France. The company is the Chinese general agent of many French wineries, such as Adams French Vineyards, Castel and Labastide. In 2009 alone it imported over 5 million bottles of wine from France. China's wine consumption increased from 564.26 million bottles (423.2 million liters) in 2004 to 899.68 million bottles in 2008, but the market is still in its infancy with a per capita consumption of 0.4 liters a year.
