Chilean families victims of the earthquake

March 2, 2010, Champa, Chile: Catalina Gonzalez and her younger sister Antonia (2) stand in front of the debris of their home. Catalina Gonzalez is 13 years old. She is at Santa Maria de Paine Junior High School. She lived for ten years in a old house (120 years old) built with adobe in the small town of Champa, 60 kilometers south of Santiago. Her father, Damian Gonzalez, is a worker in a chemical plant. Her mother is a maid. "My mother woke me up when the earthquake started. She took me and my brother, Damian (9) to the living room. A second later, the closet fell over my bed. We were saved by miracle. The walls of the house were falling down". "My father was injured when he covered my little sister Antonia (2) with his body. A closet fell over him". "We spent the night outside the house waiting for help. We don't have too much water and we need a place to stay. Meanwhile, we are staying with our grandfather, Damian, who lives four blocks down. His house is still there because it's new".  ( automatický překlad do češtiny  ) ( zobrazit originální popisek v angličtině )
